Why does Morse Code ask for Camera access?
iOS exposes the rear LED through the camera system. Morse Code uses Camera permission only to control that LED. It never takes, saves, inspects, or transmits photos or video.

What if the flashlight does not turn on?
- Open iPhone Settings, select Morse Code, and allow Camera access.
- Close any other app that may be using the camera or flashlight.
- Return to Morse Code and try the transmission again.
- If the LED remains unavailable, choose Screen under Output in the app's settings.
Which speed should I use?
Use a slower speed when another person needs to read the signal. Flashlight timing can vary by phone hardware and operating-system scheduling. Screen output can follow the display refresh rate for faster experiments, but very fast signals are generally intended for machine detection rather than human reading.
Does the SOS shortcut contact emergency services?
No. SOS only fills the message field with the standard Morse distress pattern so you can transmit it. Morse Code does not place calls, send messages, share your location, or contact emergency responders.
Does Sarcomere receive the messages I type?
